We Are The Fallen Interview - They Are Not Evanescence!

Yes there are some obvious similarities between We Are The Fallen and Evanescence. They have many of the same band members, they have a similar sound, but there are differences. One notable difference being Amy Lee lead Evanescence but We Are The Fallen is headed by American Idol contestant Carly Smithson. And there are more - but we will let them tell you.

You know why they play old evanescence songs? Because they wrote them !!! Those songs are just as much Ben's, Rocky's, and John's as they are Amy's ... I should also point out Ben wrote over half the lyrics on the album "Fallen"

@Lummerie That's what's been said in the press. But the reasons behind it are a lot more. I have read Ben's letter and that I agree with. At the end of the day when the entire band changes you just need to see that the problem wasn't from just one side. I think many people fail to see and understand that.

@danimal97520 Dude, you do know that not many people buy albums nowadays, right? Do you have a clue how many people prefer to download music for free now? You can't simply say that the music quality of EV has gone down because of record sales alone, especially when there's a crap ton of people downloading music instead of buying it. And no, this doesn't just apply to EV, but since EV is a hot topic in this video, I'm mostly applying this fact to them.

@immortalsoloist Actually, David left because of the whole EV-is-going-to-be-a-Christian-­band thing. Ben left because he and Amy were pulling EV in two different directions (there's a public letter he wrote explaining everything). Only John was fired. Rocky quit on his own.

When you have worked for something for a long time, and this girl gonna take that away from you.. Carly her name? You can see that shee wants to be Amy, that's why i dont like her. But she have an amazing voice, try to do something else not "copy" someone else.
