http://geeks.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com - If you need to calculate numbers on your computer, you use a spreadsheet. You may even use a spreadsheet to keep track of names, addresses or phone numbers. How annoying is it if people don't put certain elements into fields on a spreadsheet? http://chris.pirillo.com Distributed by Tubemogul.
Pirrillo you were on g4 for such a short time....your stream show sucks hard...I know of techs in rural southern states better then you. You suck...your a one hit wonder....and your a spoiled brat. In your phone number example, I would think you could insert an extra column (and hide the original). And then use character manipulation functions to pick out pieces of the number and reassemble them with the formatting bits in place.
Another possibility is to click on the column head to select the column, copy/paste into a decent programmer's text editor. Then use the advanced search/replace (reg-ex), or even macros in the editor, to fix the data. Then copy/past back into your column.
