Dai Davis' campaign team on Ebbw Vale high street

On a sunny April Saturday in Ebbw Vale, Dai Davies campaign team do the best to encourage voters. Dai Davies was running as an Independent in the seat of Blaenau Gwent, which was orginally lost to the independent party set up by late MP and AM Peter Law in 2005 after an internal row. After his death in 2006, Mr Law's agent Dai Davies was returned to Westminster. But the voters in this seat, which used to be the safest Labour Westminster seat in Wales, returned to the fold on Thursday and elected new MP Nick Smith (whose team can be seen a few yards away in the background, also campaigning on the high street!)
