This shows me walking through the process of making a positive image on clear glass - traditionally, this would be called an Ambrotype - here, however, I overexposed it a little bit to get a "soft negative" or a negative that can be used with modern silver paper (printing). The mind twister is that it's still a positive when placed against a black background but too thin to be called a collodion negative (to be printed on POP-Albumen/Salt). Are you confused yet? *grin*

  • Wow, awsome! I wish you could teach me all this stuff... guess I´ll have to watch your videos now! Just for you to know, I am building my own enlarger right now, and plan on building a plate camera and who knows what more...
