Tyson Gay 200 mtr American Trials Eugene Olympics Beijing

http://www.sportweek.nl - Tyson Gay kan bij de Olympische Spelen geen gooi doen naar de 'sprintdubbel'. Hij kwalificeerde zich eerder deze week bij de Amerikaanse trials in Eugene voor de 100 meter, maar kwam zaterdag op de 200 meter in de kwartfinales ten val. De wereldkampioen liep daardoor op dat onderdeel een ticket naar Peking mis.

Gay greep na vijftig meter naar zijn dijbeen en ging daarna tegen de vlakte. Hij moest zelfs onder begeleiding van de baan worden gehaald.

Don't worry guys he's not really injured he just suffered a severe cramp which is SO STUPID because now he can't qualify for the 200m (though already qualifying for the 100m) in Beijing. For goodness sake he's one of the fastest men in the world JUST LET HIM IN THE OLYMPICS!
