With just one month to go until the opening of Shanghai Expo 2010, the largest expo ever held, the UK is releasing exclusive images of its acclaimed Pavilion. The Seed Cathedral is the centrepiece of the UK Pavilion site.

@Dovepetal They're being sent to schools after the expo. Think how much electricity you used to watch this video - maybe you should stop watching videos, and using electricity if you are so concerned. Wear layers and read a book (from a library)

however I fear that the material was produced (much like many of the expo works) explicitly for the temporary exhibit. It's too bad to see great designers still reaching into the same bag of tricks and using resources like they will never run out......

Amazing work of temporary architecture...However, how long does the expo last? Where will millions of acrylic rods end up? It would be nice to know if they were waste to start with, for if they turn into garbage once the expo concludes this would be an apt intervention,

I went there stood in line for 3 hours went inside and it was cool the first three seconds.... then I relaized I had wasted three hours of my life in iine

epic fail... I recommend going to the mexico, japan, and spain pavillons lots of technology and interesting things
