@dangerousbusiness07 What do you mean, "in real life?"
-
@RpGfreak901 It's just like Goku and Vegeta in real life if you look at it
-
@RobsZombies Yeah, besides Vegeta, he also plays Piccolo, Yamcha, and several members of the Ginyu Force. And you can tell each one was voiced by him.
-
@RpGfreak901 Christopher Sabat has had alot of Opera in his voice he can manipulate his voice in many ways. He does at least 4 different characters in DBZ
-
I'm calling bull on this, Goku isn't the kid from Texas or the Lance Armstrong guy or whatever, he's just a lucky fucker. He drinks the mystic water, gets training from King Kai, trains at 100x gravity on his way to Namek, and he didn't train nearly as much as Vegeta, yet he still was more powerful. If the power was based on trying and training, Vegeta would be worth 10 Majin Buus, and Goku would be worth maybe a Cell.
-
still must show continue 2012 must have new series you hear me toriyama
-
Christopher Sabat has to really strain his voice to sounds like Vegeta.
But Sean Schemmel's voice naturally sounds like Goku.
Why is that?
-
And then ten yrs later FUNimation reboots their dub entirely to fix tier mistakes and improve the acting and dialog to be faithful to the original Japanese version.

@Sean19a7x2 a lot more subtle than most of the others, but it is present in a big way. True he doesn't have any radical shifts like Piccollo or the same intensity and drive that Vegeta has, but he's still interesting in that his resolve is unshakable, which is near impossible for everybody. Plus, (most notably after his transformation) you see Goku finally come to understand that not everyone can be saved, and he comes to terms with his own mortality as well.
-
@Sean19a7x2 I agree with you to an extent. Goku is a fairly linear character without much changing in his personalty, but he does grow quite a bit during the series. In Dragon Ball he went from this totally naive, impulsive kid who's only objective was to get stronger for the sake of the fight. As the series progress you see his desire to protect evolve over time, and you see his sense of justice build. We slowly watch him become more patient and rational. Goku's growth is (cont)
Goku didn't really progress because he couldn't really be anything better than he was. he was selfless, he never fought for power or manipulation. he is what we all with the best intentions hope to be. complete and truely at peace with ones self.
