@troykm That depends. The finale "not", this is the Saturday night's finale when Andrew Lloyd Webber is his wonderful stammering uncertain own. Recorded by my daughter.

The DVD-version is from Sunday when he is absolutely groomed, all spontaneity gone and reading from a teleprompter at his feet.

The DVD itself is composed of recordings of the 3 performances as the keen eye of a video-editor, which I have, notices inconsistencies for example in the ballet-sequence of Hanibal.

@dreamingofastranger That's an easyone. John Owen Jones was not available during the production planning and rehearsals. Ramin was, coming just out of "Love Never Dies" which was unjustly scuttled by RUG.

Without a doubt Anthony Warlow has the best Phantom voice in the world. The guy is amazing

@Boyfromthegong I think a good Phantom is characterised by many things ... the necessary voice is one thing, then acting, generosity towards the other artists, humbleness and catching the spirit of "love" ... it's a love story, not with the vicomte, but with the Phantom.

I've seen a very mechanical Phantom in NYC once who went through the lyrics like a machine, it was another play.

Ramin and Sierra were wonderful, would like to see Anthony and JOJ as well. That Swede is going to be a disaster.

I'm watching the DVD right now. Does anyone know why Michael Crawford didn't perform alongside the other Phantoms and Sarah?

Very sweet of Ramin K. to pay homage (or show deference) to the 2 senior Phantoms (MC and CW).

I also liked how MC, Sarah, Sierra, and Ramin all walk out together toward the end, symbolic of Phantom's beginning and its present.
