Gazans wait on outcome of Egypt elections

Egyptians take to the polls, many Palestinians hope Egypt's future foreign policy will be more sympathetic to their cause.
Hamas is an offshoot of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood party. It is expected to do well in the elections that started on the 28th November.
There is some concern that if the Muslim Brotherhood wins in Egypt and Hamas grows stronger, human rights in the Gaza Strip could suffer.
After the Egyptian revolution, the military council announced it would re-open the Rafah border crossing with Gaza. This is the only crossing not controlled by Israel.
Many Palestinians would also like to see Egypt establish a full commercial crossing at Rafah.

Israel has no business in a region that overwhelmingly hates it...the opposition in the Middle East against Israel's existence is so great, I don't really see a future for them after the people take hold of their governments and armies. I see a generation of wars that are going to be waged, only this time, its going to be the Arabs that wage them.

Gaza was a wonderful place when it was part of Egypt
Now that the border is open Gaza will get much needed guns and rockets to bring peace.
Eygpt is a good friend to the Palestinians even Arafat was Egyption before he became Palestinian
The only reason more Palestinians don't cross the border is because there is a shortage
of hotel rooms
