"Nobody's Perfect" from I Do! I Do! on the 1966 Tony Awards. A musical with a book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt.
The Broadway production starring Mary Martin and Robert Preston, directed and choreographed by Gower Champion, opened on December 5, 1966 at the 46th Street Theatre.
I saw this show with Martin and Preston when it toured to Cincinnati. I was 12 years old and had intensely loved Mary Martin since I was 5. I got to meet her back stage after both "Hello Dolly!" and "I Do! I Do!" and she was delightful, even though I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't speak. :) One of my most precious memories. This scene is just as I remember it from way back then. (I used to mime to this song on the record, so the blocking from the scene is hard-wired into my memory!)

I saw this show in the 60's in Baltimore at the Morris Mechanic Theatre. It was simply a wonderful show with these two superstars of the theatre. To this day, it remains the best show I have ever seen in my life!!

What a classy evening in the the theatre this show must have been. Look at those two having a ball with each other. This is a great way for Mary to finish her Broadway musical career - an offbeat musical with great songs and a brilliant costar.
