  • so fucking awesome.r they a satanic band?i c the satan star in the small drawing at the top right...

  • @TheKingdomofvampires The "Satan star" is simply an upside-down pentagram.

In modern culture, it is usually a sign of evil, though it usually served a quite different purpose when it was first created, I think.

Summoning is not a religous or anti-religous band as far as I know.

But I think you can say for certain that Tolkien is their religion ;)

  • @TheKingdomofvampires the drummer does daily offerings to Satan. I'm not sure if the rest of the band worships

  • @MrScorn Well, for this album, the drummer is windows 95.

Don't know if they have a drummer on their newer releases who practices satanism.

Anyway, I really hope not. Practicing satanism is fucking rediculous.

Simply people trying very hard to be angry and special, and really failing at it.

There is no satan. There is no God. THIS is your chance at being something. NOT after you're dead.

  • @TheKingdomofvampires

nope thats just an up side down pentagramm...which is jewish (which was considered satanic/evil during the middle ages)

devil whorshipping was a invention of the christian church for different religion.

The first real satanism came up during the 20. Century within the okkult loges.

Those guys here just like their tolkin

  • @Nesembria I thought the jewish star had six edges? Upside down pentagrams have been used for different purposes through time. Sometimes a pentagram is used a christian symbol which in turn has been inverted as a modern symbol of anti-christianity.

You find it in Wicca aswell.

  • @TheKingdomofvampires That's simple: Summoning was a satanic band in the beginning of the their career. After this they have changed the theme of their songs for Middle-Earth. The first Tolkenian album was Lugburz (1995) and the demos before it were satanic.

  • i have no words....just beautiful!

  • @dunkelheit616 It's cool I made that whole thing up.

  • @MrScorn Summoning haven't had a drummer for 16 years but Protector does the drum programming, he's a great musician and he probably worships Melkor lol

  • @Sekkingstad

I heard about a Summoning drummer on the first album, Lugburz, the French Wikipedia says that he had been kicked out of the band after the first album, his name war "Trifixion", Maybe that he is the satanic guy, it is not said. Wikipedia (still) says that he had been kicked out because Silenus and Protector was saying he was "a commercial asshole".

No matter, "No God No Satan" say Otargos (French Black Metal)
