AELITA ~ The OyarsaQ Edition (1924/2009)

A clip from my new edition of AELITA., the classic silent Russian Sci-fi film from 1924. Has a new soundtrack made of the altered and edited music of Philip Glass and new English intertitle screens.

The film was sourced from the best image available (the French Bach edition) for superior grayscale and detail. The new OyarsaQ DVD is PAL format, has subtitles in 8 languages (Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese, Slovene, Italian, German, French, Spanish), new menus and navigation, 2 soundtracks in 5.1 surround (1 in stereo), and eastereggs.

This film is noted for having some wonderfully incredible Constructivist sets and costumes. The story incorporates themes of psychology and has a strong message promoting Communism.
