Wow! What a memory! Here is The Paul Winter Consort performing a gorgeous version of Silent Night. Renato Braz sings vocals in Portuguese with the sweet voice of Allessandra Vilhena backing him up in the presence of a wonderful visual presentation. All within the walls of one of the most beautiful places on earth, The Cathedral of Saint John The Divine in New York City, the largest gothic cathedral in the world. www.matthewmuisephotography.com

  • The largest gothic cathedral is, from six centuries ago and is in Seville, Spain. Check your data!

  • "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Colossians 2:8).

"Ye therefore, beloved, . . . beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness" (II Peter 3:17).

You are either a Christian or you are not a Christian; you cannot be partly a Christian. You are either "dead" or "alive"; you are either "born" or "not born".

    Martyn Lloyd-Jones

  • This is pagan worship pure and simple. Paul Winter is pagan and doesn't hide it yet he is allowed in a cathedral to do this? Just how much more are we going to compromise as Christians. You realise the pagans or new ageists don't compromise anything at all. Jesus was not all inclusive and that's one of the reasons He was crucified. He spoke out against evil and would not put up with this sort of ceremony that is pagan under christian guise. All inclusiveness is not christian.

  • This is an annual tradition with my dad and I. Doesn't matter how many times I see it, I still get choked up.

  • These Solstice events have been part of our family's tradition for almost 20 years. Paul has the knack of making them not exclusive to any one belief or value system, but inclusive of all. His music is unifying and touches the spirit of all faiths. His music brings us the light in the darkest part of the year. EVERY faith delivers that message in its own way. Our experience is one of gratitude and renewal of hope. Can't argue with that. Bless him for creating such a magnificent experience.

  • The brazilians love Paul !!!!

  • Who is your brother? Who is your neighbor? Spirit unites, religion divides.

If the name is all you care about, and not the act of caring for one another, then what you call yourself doesn't matter ... you do not honor the Source.

Paul Winter Consort DEFINITELY honors the Source!

  • paganism...lovely

  • What the hell is going on with this world. I don't understand how we could be so blind and dumb. So some of us say "Oh, I knew that they were evil and stuff." but we never knew. Its like we seriously don't know anything about anything. Its like we are...just idiots.
