Frank Stams levels Rodney Peete 1988

I was at that game and will never forget that hit. When Peete got up he started walking toward the ND sideline and was extremely wobbly. One of his teammates had to grab him and point him in the right direction. Frickin awesome!!!

The previous week Rodney Peete had SAVED USC by tackling a UCLA player who had intercepted one of his passes by tackling him before he got to the end zone. Apparently Notre Dame took note of that and was ready for it 7 days later. I LOVED that Stams hit 'cause back in those days I HATED the USC Trojans. WITH A PASSION!!!
