  • Great video, 45407 seemed to have a weak whistle. Where does the engine run round at Whitby? When was this filmed.

  • Thanks Tim. Yes 5407 whistle does sound a bit asthmatic. Doesn't affect its superb performance though, on what has to be one of the most winding routes in Britain, thru the ESK valley. The weather in August last year, when this was filmed was as bad as ite been lately but that just made for some brill steam effects.

  • Thanks Geoff. The loco is one normally based on the East Lancs Railway but is worked hard touring the country. The Tall Ship is something else. Whitby is fantastic. The best fifh & chips in the country. LoL
