Atlas CSX GP40-2's

My new Atlas GP40-2's. Showing them ideling and leaving. some minor weathering has been done but the both need a little more to show that at one time they were CSX's workhorse's. They are Gold series with QSI these are the only two offered by atlas with sound and Dynamic brakes, there is 1 more gold series but it has no dynamic brakes. Features the prototypical low nose headlight, I also changed a few things to make it more prototypical. Added the APU decals changed the horns and added some lower-shelf couplers. Well worth the money and wait. Sorry from a little sound distortion from the turbocharger, it sounds like a GP38 but has very distinctive turbocharged sound !

I just bought one on Ebay, it hasnt arrived yet. The standard horn is what on these engines? Have you run it with and other non QSI decoder locos? Does it consist well? Ive stayed away from these engines because I was afraid they wont consist well even if I change the speed tables. Have you had any experience with these type problems? Right now all my trains run smooth. I love the sound but dont like ruining a good thing.

well i run them on dc so i can only consist with other qsi engines, but i have heard the work fine with other types.The work fine with digitrax, tsunami and im pretty sure athearns mrc. ive seen them run with overlands and tower 55's all you need to do is move the speed to 128 step and tweak it a little bit and you should be fine

Do you know wat i should do with my loco???????????? It is not shut down because its sound works. I just wont move! Could you please help????

its proly on DISCONNECT..the motor sounds shuld speed up and down with the throttle but the loco shuld not go ne where...are u using the Quantam engineer controller

have a AC4400 but no SD70-2/ACe Athearn is suppose to release them soon

Well, I have a UT4 Digitrax controller... So i dont know what button does that.

I have one of those. I bought it myself and it is #6396. But recently it stopped moving but only its sound works.
