Pentecost - Nominated for an Oscar in Short Film (Live Action) Category

Pentecost is an Irish Film Board Signatures short film produced by EMU Productions which was written and directed by Peter McDonald.

Pentecost is a coming of age story of a young boy who learns how to rebel against his father and the community. Against his will, Damian Lynch (11) is called in at the last moment to serve as an altar boy at an important mass in the local parish. He faces a choice: either conform to the status quo or serve an extended ban from his passion in life, football.

    There are short film clubs with exclusive rights to screen the short films at movie festivals around the world. I don't have a link but looking at short film clubs on the internet must lead you somewhere.
