@kekuu7...No doubt they "fought like lions", but lions are not human. If German soldiers had not signed their own human judgement away, the world would have been spared the bloodbath that killed 50 million on all sides. As it was, many leading German generals detested the little jerk who took control of strategy and tactics from the professionals. In fact generals like Paulus and Rommel worked against their idiot leader. In the end, H. blamed every other German but himself for defeat.

@followthefleet1 HELL NO! German forces fought in 1-10 difference in the eastern front and still won. They lost because of the betrayal of Japan ( Pearl Harbour- USA excuse for war) and Mussolini (Invasion of Africa / Afrika Korps) You should read a bit more, bearing in mind that the german forces fought like lions in every front they were. Oh, and by the way, you can't just call them "zombies" for being proud of their strong nation.

@kekuu7 ...I understand enough. Zombies who had given away their own morality and judgment to Hitler can still fight....and they were battle hardened. The American forces in the beginning underestimated their German opponents, and over estimated their own prowess. When they weren't overwhelmed by the usual superior air power, and or army force size, the German army was quite formidable. They lost anyway, because they bit off way more than they could chew...and their commanders knew it.

The occasion of mass persuasion was, and is, one of the most mindless features of the modern world. They are pledging their souls to a bloody madman, who led his own nation and people to utter defeat...just as he was responsible for the killing of 50 million in Europe. Murad17 is right.
