Bryan Fischer explains that the American Revolution was not really a 'rebellion," because that would be in violation of Romans 13 which declares that all governing authorities were appointed by God.

Lexington, Concord, Bunker Hill all took place in 1775 before the Declaration of Independence. Therefore, the colonists resisted the God-ordained reign of their English king. Once again Fischer is wrong.

At :22 he references July 4, 1776 and the Declaration of Independence stating that at that time a new government of soveriegn, free, independent states was formed. That's fine, but for one year and three months prior to that the colonies were in armed rebellion against the God-ordained rule (according to the Bible) of their English king. Fischer is wrong.

Also, following your flawless logic, in the Civil War, the Confederacy was never in rebellion against the United States, because having declared secession, the United States was now a foreign power?
