@FordyFilms Glad you liked it.

Wow this is great! I would say that it needed a cinema scope (black bars) on the footage to really put the icing on the cake with making this short even more cinematic!

@dinmikal regardless of your dislike, thanks for taking the time to watch the short.

you went cheapo on the sound. The VO in particular. The details do matter. and when u raise the bar on visual -- it make anything less than -- look even more subpar.

Im a DOP myself and we're most likely using the arri on our next shoot so i'm doing my research. I've been hearing that it has a great dynamic range, im just curious what light set ups you used?. On another more creative note i liked the short, although you used shallow DOF heavily i think it worked well...what lenses were you using?

@supra1981 Hey There, glad you liked the short. We used Cooke S4's (I can't remember the specific lenses sorry), the ASA was 800 (interiors), 1600 (night exteriors) and Gamma was Log C. Lights we used for the exteriors was a single HMI to brighten the mid-ground and the rest was available light. For the interiors it was LED light panels. Hope that helps.

Very well done!
But I have to agree with another comment on the voice over. Not a bad voice, but too young to match the character. No sense of real experience in the voice. Good read, but not convincing. Didn't sound like he had faced a life threatening experience, like a killing or a meeting with a Hollywood producer.... :-) I look forward to seeing more of your work.

@probonovox thanks for watching the short, glad you enjoyed it. It was the actor in the short that did the voice over, I'll be sure to tell him that he sounds young. Thanks for the feedback.

@ARehal If he took it down an octave, it would have sounded better. One technique I use I call "WWMFD?" "What would Morgan Freeman do? LOL
BTY are you using Zeiss Primes?

@probonovox we used Cooke S4's for the shoot. I'll be sure to use the Morgan Freeman technique for next time.
