During our trip to Harper's Ferry NHP, we walked across the railroad bridge at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. A pretty nice spot, but we missed seeing the train that arrived just as we were boarding the shuttle back to the parking area.

  • how do you get to this bridge? I have been to harpers ferry many times and have always wanted to go up to this bridge

  • Nation Park entrance, then they run a shuttle bus down to the old town. From there an easy and pleasant walk to the bridge. We were clueless when we got there, but it was a very nice way to spend half a day.

  • @mrpnishead It's a historic town d-bag... it's supposed to be like that. And also, I've hiked up to those cliffs many times, the view is incredible from up there.

  • Apparently when you cross the state line into West Virginia you do not put your watch back 1 hour you put it back 40 years!

  • ive been on top that hill....if your afriad of heights I wouldnt recommend it. VERY HIGH!. Though Im not sure if they let anyone walk up there anymore.
