Assuming takes one places not intended, doesn't it? Do you know Beck? I would find it difficult to make statements similar to yours without some firsthand experience with the subject. I have no idea if the kid I bought the flag from was a Beck supporter or just a guy trying to make gas money. Either way, I do not begrudge either of them using their energy to make a buck.

i took your comment to assume that i am some liberal who hates troops and america, none of which is true. if i took it wrong, i apologize. my original comment was only meant that beck, someone i view to be in it for the money, attracts supporters who are there trying to make money. it all seems less genuine. maybe i should have brought my flag from home to the protest, but for me it wasn't about patriotism. it was about beck's lack of it.

i currently have three friends and two family members either serving, or recently served in the middle east and i don't oppose the conservative point of view as a whole. i didn't vote for obama, and have pride in the potential of our country. i do however, oppose glenn beck, his lies, and lack of a sense of personal responsibility and accountability he holds himself to with his position. and yes, i have watched his show. he's a liar and bigot and that is not something i can support.

I paid for a flag at the event at Safeco yesterday! Pretty cheap price to endorse freedom considering some people have given their lives for your right to oppose the conservative point of view.

the flags they were selling for $5.  i didn't see the people opposing beck trying to make any money off the event, no surprise though considering it was a beck rally.

Very well done! I know this was not your intention, but, it clearly shows the happy, excited Glenn supporters, smiling and waving and waving their flags ... the 'haters' ? ... grumpy, hiding their faces, NO flags, lotsa crude words and gestures and no smiles ... at least 600 hundred of the roughly 1,000 there were supporting Glenn ... and let's not forget the crowd INSIDE and those driving up from Seattle .... I love to see LOVE prevail
