Heather was so incredibly well-cast in the Nightmare series. She seemed like a genuinely good person, without being phony about it. It takes a lot to make an audience not become cynical and root for the bad guy.
When they did the Nightmare remake, among the many things they did stupidly, they cast a a girl as Nancy who wasn't half as good for the role as Heather.
