I love Pinback and have just recently discovered them (yay for me!), but I have to say...the members of Tool have egos? There are other bands out there who's egos are so far stuck up their own ass, they're eating themselves out (gross, I know).
Examples are...
Guns N' Roses
Buckcherry
Hinder
John Mayer
and the king of them all....KANYE WEST.
Before you say that the members of Tool have egos, consider the aforementioned ones first. Criticize with discretion, please.

Rob Crow looks so much better with short hair and minus the hobo hair.

Can't think of a more underrated band
-
Pinback's style is an art in its self.

I hear some "Queen II" at the beginning of this song...

nice to see someone rock an LP studio for a change

Remember the Summer in Abaddon!

@cyputts Don't forget Goblin Cock! :)

Oh yeah I forgot.... Tool? Seriously? Enough with that band.... the egos in that group seriously cant handle any more than their already self proclaimed amazingness. Their heads just might explode.

How does Pinback remind you of Sparta? Sparta is pretty much at the drive-in but not as good.
Its funny to see white belts posting about what a mainstream band is or is not.
also, look up some of Rob Crowe's other bands like Thingy, Heavy Vegetable, the ladies, and other men.... if you want to talk about being technical give those bands a listen.

@XxxxxJamesxxxX Most of their songs are in 4/4. Pinback is my favorite band of all time, but it isn't their complexity that is their genius, it harmony and melody layering, and the dynamic there-in; it is musical alchemy.
Also, there is no such thing as 5/7 time; there is no standard rhythmic value for 7. If you are referring to the beginning of "Blood on Fire", it is in 7/8 time.
