Good playing technically, but they lacked the freedom and spontaneity required to give the music a bit of 'zing'.

slow it down bitches. funk is suppose to be soulful and something to dance to and boogie/grove to. no where close to being in the pocket.

Naja, fuer meinen Begriff VIEL zu schnell, es grooved deshalb wie ein lauwarmer Leberkaese, die Tonart stimmt nicht (B statt H), aber ein Kind auf der Buehne kommt immer gut, wie waer's das naechste Mal mit einem Hund dazu?

The playing might be technically very good but it's so straight and boring. No soul, no funk, no sense of rhythm. Good playing but doing their very best to ruin Stevie Wonder.
