This is a speech given by the Commandant of Midshipmen, Captain Matthew L. Klunder, to the parents of the Class of 2013 at the United States Naval Academy on July 1, 2009. The speech was given in Alumni Hall. Captain Klunder (now Rear Admiral Klunder) was the 83rd Commandant of the Naval Academy, serving from May 2008 to April 2010.

No, unfortunately, I didn't keep the camera rolling throughout the presentation. The Academic Dean's presentation was particularly informative. I wish I had filmed him, as well.

Oh man, I wish I was there. I applied to the U.S. Naval Academy for the class of 2013, but was rejected at the last second. I did make it the last crop of applicants to be selected though. Now, I'm going to be joining the Air Force ROTC at a 4 year university instead.
