ELMHURST, Ill. - Valerie Wesleyscored three minutes into overtime to give the Elmhurst College women's soccer team a 2-1 victory over Greenville College.

Elmhurst improved to 9-3-1 with the victory while Greenvllle slipped to 11-4-2 with the loss.

The Bluejays outshot Greenville 14-1 in the opening half, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.

The Bluejays cracked the scoreboard in the 61st minute when Sarah Harvey scored off of a Wesley assist. Elmhurst lead did not last long, however, as the Panther's Maureen Murphy blasted home a feed from Rachel Irwin in the 65th minute.

The game remained tied at the end of regulation and headed into overtime. Kelsey Caldwell found Wesley open to the right side of the box. Wesley raced to to the right side of the goal and arched a shot into the opposite corner of the net to give the Bluejays the victory.

Elmhurst finished the game outshooting Greenville 28-6.

Lindsay Carlson made her first collegiate start in goal and earned the victory for the Bluejays. Carlson allowed one goal while recording a pair of saves. Heidi Koehl stopped 12 shots in net for the Panthers.

Elmhurst travels to Wheaton College on Saturday, October 23.
