What is a Trans-Neptunian Object (TNO) Plutoid?...

Any object orbiting the sun beyond Neptune are called 'Trans-Neptunian Objects'. When it's a Dwarf Planet orbiting beyond Neptune, it's then called a 'Plutoid'. I will be making a video about this in the future.

I didn't find alot of interesting facts about Dysnomia, however here is a few links to websites with facts about Eris's moon, Dysnomia:

If you know anything interesting about these dwarf planets, feel free to share them in the comments! :-)

Please rate, comment and subby!! xx

    It's ok.

Technically Sedna is a dwarf planet candidate.

It is not officially classed as a dwarf planet yet.

Only Pluto,Ceres,Makemake, and Haumea are classed as dwarf planet.

Sedna is larger than Ceres, and so Sedna will definitely will officially be classed a dwarf planet.

I have a problem with the definition. There are over 70 objects that are dwarf planet candidates.

  • @fomalhauto I just reread your comment more carefully you said larger than Ceres not Eris. My mistake

  • @fomalhauto It is my understanding anything that's round and orbits the sun and not another planet and has not cleared out it's orbit neiborhood is considered a dwarf planet. It's also my understanding that Sedna is smaller than both Eris and Pluto. Sedna is a dwarf planet.

  • @bandet888

Sedna is not officially classed as dwarf planet yet.

It's larger than Ceres, and so it's just a matter of time that it will be.

  • Thank you for this info. its gonna help me for my science project

  • @1978atcarroll dick

  • I wonder how many icy dwarf planets are out there that we haven't discovered?
