Welcome to the Jays! Screw Beede, Norris is a better prospect anyways. lol.

This kid IS the #1 ranked 2011 prospect in the nation right now. Fastball sits 91-94 and tops at 96. For everyone saying "this and that" about him, just stop...your talent will probably never even come close to matching his.

Welcome to the Jays Daniel!! Pitching depth just got a lot deeper. God I love our farm system, definitely top 2-3 in all of baseball after this draft.

We'll see on August 15th. The Jays gave $1.5M to Dickie Thon Jr. last year and he was taken in the 5th round. I don't think they'd have any issue offering him serious cash just cause he was a 2nd rounder. They were considering him at 21, but opted for Beede.

He is going to Clemson now that he got picked that low. He wanted a 3.9 million dollar sign on bonus and they wouldn't give it to him therefore he didn't get picked till that late.

Can't believe the Jays got him at 74. I sure hope they can get him signed.

Would love to see the Dodgers get him if he's still available at No. 16 in this upcoming draft. That way he can make use of the bat (heard he could hit quite a bit) in addition to his promising arsenal of pitches. They were able to catch lightning in a bottle with Kershaw prior. Perhaps they can do it twice with Norris this time around...
