Bosses are most enjoyable when you take it nice and slow. No matter what the game is, if there is no time limit or not trying to make a playthrough record, time doesnt really matter as long as you enjoy it.

You are aware of the fact that Vol Fulgur(electricity) is barely useful until you´ve got a very high lightning-AP? At least thats how i see it, next time, go with Ascia(axe) or hasta(lance), when you want to use Glyph union go lance and electricity for the lightning 'spear', good stuff

took you 6 min to kill it? you just have to equip vol confedere and that lightning atk and spam the special atk
