@xAsgerCobainx Wow -- i never even thought about this!! but you're absolutely right. I never gave any thought to the "25 years later" motif. But you're right, by golly! Coop is in the black lodge for 25 years, during which time Evil Coop kills Annie. But, how would that have been feasible for a Season 3?

Remember in the black lodge when Annie says to Cooper: "I saw the face of the man who killed me. It was my husband!". I bet that it was supposed to mean that Evil Cooper marries Annie in the future and kills her. And then you can imagine what else gonna happen... Maybe a new FBI agent comes to town to solve this thing about Annie getting killed? :) I like to imagine and make my own happy ending. That makes me feel a little better.

Audience protest is the only language that these Network CEOs seem to understand. The Audience did the same with "Jericho" by sending nuts to the Network and the network actually even produced another 8 episodes. Twin Peaks should have deserve that treatment aswell. At least another half a season would have been great. The second season just ends with a huuuge cliffhanger.
