  • Nice but looks a little too unstable... The side to side action is a nice idea but then again thats what the fairleads are for...

  • please nobody buy this crap, trailer balls are meant for towing not recovery, ive seen plenty snap right off. get a hitch receiver mount and put a winch on it. way safer! plus you can winch with the remote while in the vehicle or 20 feet away. i think id rather do that then stand right next to a winch cable.

  • I wouldn't be standing near it just in case the winch snaps!

  • extreme fail dont be a cheap bastard, you already have a hitch and winch go spend the $50 and get a reciver mount

  • Um, what about if your car is actually stuck bad? I wouldn't want to be standing there holding it so it sits straight....... fail....

  • @racecardriver467 thought the same thing wating for the cabel to snap lol

  • so much FAIL in this video....standing so close with a truck load on the winch.......

  • really not a good idea to be standing there...

what kind of stress testing has been done to the support?? Is it safe?

  • @alalit > '.. Need I go on? ..'

Well, you certainly gave plenty of reasons, few I agree with. Class IV or V hitch shown is capable of 9,000 or more pounds, from any direction trailer can be behind vehicle or any shock trailer might generate. More than enough for smaller winch shown. As before, not sure about tongue connector or winch mount. Do agree about operator standing so close, but many winching systems are similar. Not ideal, but again not that dangerous.

  • @stewartx5 -cont. a catastrophic failure. 5. The operator is required to stand right next to the winch, to hold it upright. A breaking winch cable can easily take their legs out, or disembowel. Need I go on?
