The shark ate him!!! AH!!!

these little sharks, were also responsible for same sort of marks left on the Sonar absorbant tiles on submarines. the Engineers were stumped at first, untill a Shark biologist,said what they were from.

@Destronus How does taking a bite make it parasitic? It does not stay attached to the prey (or host if I am wrong) I thought?

cookie cutter sharks are weird small sharks. unlike most sharks that sheds its teeth on regular basis, cookie cutters sheds its whole lower jaw. these is a type of shark which a parasitic one. It would latch on to you and its lower jaw would scoop out flesh like ice cream scooper.
do Orcas have cookie cutter marks??

@TheRealsonic12
Yes, they do. There are images of an orca in New Zealand with cookie cutter bite marks in this article:
First Record of Predation on False Killer Whales (Pseudorca crassidens) by Killer Whales (Orcinus orca) Aquatic Mammals 2010, 36(2), 195-204, DOI 10.1578/AM.36.2.2010.195
Any whale or dolphin species that lives and dives in areas where cookie cutters are found will run the risk of getting bitten.

It looks more like harpoon mark.

It's a cookie cutter shark (Isistius brasiliensis) bite mark for sure. Often seen on dolphins living in this area (i.e., Izu Islands).
