@wangmsater Depends on the suppressor. Baffled suppressors can have several hundreds of shots fired through them before cleaning is needed. Wrapped suppressors are good for about 25-50 shots before the cloth liner needs to be changed. The real purpose behind them is to disguise your location, as suppressed firearms sound like they are a lot further away then they actually are. It also depends on the rounds, sub sonic rounds though a suppressor are incredibly quiet.

Plastic. The barrel is actually about 5.5 inches long and a has a very simple straight slot cut in it. The device has a spring loaded metal wedge that snaps into the slot in the barrel when you push the device onto it. To remove, turning 90 degrees causes the non-cut round part of the barrel to "cam" the spring-loaded metal wedge out of the slot and you can slip the device off.

Actually, after watching it a few times now that I am back in the states, I am convinced that my video camera's microphone/processing must be affecting the way the can is heard. There is clearly not as much difference between the un-suppressed shot and the suppressed shots as there was on the range. The can was actually pretty impressive. Not "worth" the effort/money in the US, but cool for those overseas who are interested in having the capability or experience of shooting suppressed.
