Star Tours II

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo, and "friends" from the Star Wars universe, announce that Star Tours will be upgraded to a new 3-D experience in 2011. This was part of a presentation on 'Imagineering the Future of Disney Parks' given at the D23 Expo on September 12th, 2009. This caught me during a battery change so the video starts just after Jay announces that Disney is closing Star Tours and a squad of Storm Troopers swarms the stage. Geek Note: The Star Tours II pre-visualization sequence was shown in 3D and is captured here by shooting through one lens of a pair of 3D glasses.

Relax people, I'm sure there will be more to the ride than just the podrace, that would kind of take the "stars" out of Star Tours. I can't wait for the new one!

And so we were kinda Crash landing on the landing pad.

we crashed(Kinda) into the landing pad almost into a fuel tank and knocked down the Droid Flare Lander. and soon after the Droid got dizzy and fell.

The room filled with laughter.

we soon went down inside and then delivered the spy as we walked out!

(Soon after, i went to the giftshop and got a Chewie back-Pack :D)

and that was only 1 Adventure there are 9 More to come on June 3rd!

(Note:I got in cause i won 4 tickets in cast)

We then lost all the buzz droids flying off as "Were coming in to hot!" the CIS ship soon turned into debris and we passed by it, still no power getting close to the ground(Almost passed the City buildings" and just as you know all hope is lost.

R2 pulls the switch and puts the power back on right before we hit the ground.

getting way to close flight line. we were going the wrong way and soon saw a landing pad.

We flew straight toward it but the engiens were still a little off.--->

We went back in time (I think i'm not sure...) to coruscant and relived the Coruscant battle of Episode 3 where you then saw BUZZ DROIDS on your Cockpit window.

You were flying in a epic battle Shooting and getting shot at of course. While R2 was electrifying the Buzz droids off slowly, because he couldn't get a clear shot at them. Finally we got hit in the engines and was crash landing close to a Crash landing CIS ship. ---->

We Flew into space and well..We got a transmission from Yoda!(This is where the fun begins -You will soon notice why i picked that expression-) Yoda had the full voice from Episode 3 and the same look and exact same coat and features! He told us to deliver the spy to Coruscant to brief the Spy of details on the "Plan"

And this is where C-3PO notes "I'm afraid were all apart of the Rebel Alliance now..."---->

He tried to hang on but he soon fell...(He Didn't die, He can never die, HES A WOOKIE) Then we ran into a couple of wookies that were getting chased by 3 Scout Troopers, thats when we started firing at them and helping them out a bit.

We managed to get 2 by the other one retreated and we soon followed the wookie back to his camp. Flying higher as the trees began to clear up and almost hit a wookie Outpost Lamp with of course the wookie doing the emotion

He pulled out his Lightsaber and started deflecting the blast. But that gave us a window to escape the space station and the Adventure begins!

C-3PO randomy puts in the coordinates to Kashyyyk on accident, and off we hyperspaced to Kashyyyk where we met CHEWIE! :D.

He was being chased by 2 Imperial scout troopers on speeders.

His flying wookie helicopter thing...(Idk what its called) got shot and he flew right onto our Window. He soon fell off because of the speed we were going.-->

When we were started to get held by the force with the ship. It ask for a Rebel Spy (Really Cool part) it picks anyone's random picture ID as the Rebel spy. it wasn't me though it was this young girl about 10-12 (I would guess) and it appears on the other side of the screen. so Everyones all Gasping cause of the awesome new feature of that. We start getting tossed with the Force. we soon pull out our Laser Cannons Artoo finally got working. and starting shooting at Vader.

I road it yesterday, at first it was kinda slow.

------------------WHOLE RIDE EXPERIENCE--------------------­---

We got in our seats and it was same basic lay out in the old star tours.

But once those Doors closed it was totally different!

C-3PO was our captain and he was driving us...But you would always expect Darth Vader to use the force to stop us from Leaving!

So then on we got thrown by the force and almost killed Darth Vader with our Laser Cannons.
