Willowbrook acquired a young red fox to be a companion to the lone red fox they currently have on trail. It was very interesting to see them interact. The young one has neurological problems (possibly from previous head trauma) as she displayed a head tilt from time to time. Her gait was also a bit unsteady and she ran into the bars of the cage once.
The new, younger fox playfully chased the older, 3-legged fox quite a bit. The older fox would stop, make a stance, lower her ears, and make a vocal sound like a combination of yelps, clacking and hisses. Unfortunately, the younger fox is deaf and does not hear the audibles of the elder fox.
