I Wasn't the One (Who Said Goodbye) - Agnetha Faltskog

Agnetha's classy video (1988) from the I Stand Alone Album, produced by Peter Cetera.

Alas, Peter Cetera doesn't appear in the video and nor was he listed on the back of the album cover as duetting with Agnetha on this song. I'm assuming this was due to some contractual issue?

Agnetha looks great, but I've always felt that this would have been an even better video if Peter had appeared, rather like Michael McDonald did in the video for the duet with Patti LaBelle (On My Own).

I Wasn't The One cracked the US top 100, reaching no.93 to be only her second solo US hit after Can't Shake Loose reached no.28 back in '83. It went to no.17 in the Adult Contemporary chart.

the video is kinda fuzzy but Agnetha looks just as beautiful as she was back in the ABBA days. I think she should've sang more duets with other well known artists. Who would decline a legendary like her. As a matter of fact, they'd be pretty flattered. I know I would if I was an artist and she asked to sing duet with me. Hell, I'd marry her, too if she asked.

Yes she's shot in 'soft focus' as she was for the video for 'The Last Time' as well. Pity really..... as the video for 'Let It Shine' shows there was no need.
