  • I've used the "God Helmet" example in debates with theists before. Not surprisingly, they fall back on the argument that "the helmet must have opened up some sort of doorway - so to speak - to allow the person to catch a glimpse of the spiritual realm."

There's just...there's just no winning with these people.

  • I already heard about this on Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman. Is anyone really surprised it's all in their heads? The Methodist church was started by a guy who got struck by lightning. Also, a while ago, I asked born again Christians why they began to believe and I swear to quantum mechanics that the experiences they described sounded like brain aneurisms.

  • @dudesonman4200 Religion can be viewed as a drug to you. To me....I don't how to say what it is to be honest. I'm guessing more of what I believe in.

  • @wessnyder117

"People cannot be drugged into religion."

Religion by definition is a drug. Its an intense, mind altering opiate.

  • No, I don't think they're onto something. People can not be drugged into religion, they have to choose for themselves. And why use a motorcycle helmet?

  • I would love to be able to participate in the study. I think it is very interesting I just wonder if it could be harmful.
