Jennifer Holiday's expressiions are what makes her performance of the song exciting. IIt will put you on the edge of your seat. She puts her whole heart, soul and body into her singing.and portrayal of the character. That is why, although I love Jennifer Hudson, Hudson can't be compared to Holiday. Jennifer Hudson has an amazing voice and she has gotten beautiful, become a better singer and more professional since American Idol. She has a whole career ahead of her. Love both ladies!

As if this matters, I am a white woman who only wishes she could sing like either one of these beautiful ladies. As far as the comments about the facial expressions: they are because the talent and music is real, not some computer generated lip sync thing because you have all the right dance moves. Hopefully the music industry will try to focus on real talent like it did years ago and then I will begin to purchase rather than listen to the real talent I own already.

That will always be Jennifer Holidays song NOBODY can sing it like her, she's the reason that song is where it is today. Jennifer Hudson, being the incredible singer she is, gave it justice (which too many people CANNOT do) Both women are awesome but "I'm telling you now" will always belong to Jennifer HOLIDAY ;)

Why are people criticizing Holiday's facial expressions and dramatic performance? Have they not seen Patti LaBelle? She does the same thing and is highly respected. It's called "Soul" folks, it's feeling and acting the song to the very depths of your soul - the hell with how you look doing it. Everybody isn't into appearances, they are into giving their all, not hold anything back to look "cute". I loved Holliday, and Hudson in this performance - but as to who won me over - Holliday!
