  • In addition to the pace being too fast for many folks, this kind of focus on "pushing" the hips to open them tends to stress the hips. Simply focusing on more and more joint mobility ultimately sacrifices stability in the joint for mobility and can actually injure them. Once there is enough mobility to align the bones more accurately, it is important to do so in order to protect the joints and also to effectively open and engage the core.

  • there is always a problem I feel with yoga teachers doing this by themselves and doing a voice-over. When there is not a class with them, they lose track of pace and ALWAYS, ALWAYS seem to rush. It's my personal preference, I enjoy a much slower (yet just as intense, if not more) pace - however these fake classes just aren't realistic pace-wise. Humans need time to adjust to each pose. Slow down. Namaste <3
