Sugarcubes "Amæli" (Birthday) and "Köttir" (Cat) for the 1000th f-ing time....but as they were meant to be heard, from "Einn mol'a Mann" ep (One Cube per Person).
This is the Sugarcubes first 7" single released back in 1985 in Iceland, back then they were called Sykurmolarnir (Sugarcubes). After Kukl dissolved the group for a while called themselves Þukl, but then keyboardist Einar Melax came up with an (even less) appropriate name.
The vinyl was only printed in 500 copies, and it was funded by the reverse side being a advert-flyer for an Icelandic sugar company (Danuskker Sykur). The front cover drawing you can see in the film was made by Friðrik Erlingsson of Purrkur Pillnikk (he is the guy with the glasses in this film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wfp_3-VqIw&feature=channel_page) people will recognise that he'd also drawn the art to Purrkur's album Ekki En. He played guitar on these two tracks but left the group as he didn't want to travel outside of Iceland when they became the bollocks.
