Tutorial Thursday: Iceland Waterfall

This photo was taken at Hraunfossar, Barnafoss in Iceland in November 2009.
The exposure is 13 seconds at f/16 using two solid LEE ND filters stacked together.

This tutorial shows how to process a RAW photo using Lightroom 2 or up and Photoshop CS.
***Please note that the photo used in this tutorial is a RAW file. This way of processing might not work with a JPEG file.***

very cool, J! btw, have you considered using the high pass filter as an alternative to the unsharp mask sharpening? I used to use the unsharp as well but then started using HP because I loved the results. basically, flatten the image, pick HP filter under 'other', set the appropriate radius, and then change the layer to overlay mode. let me know if you like it. it's especially helpful in portraiture. anyways, great work! please keep them coming. I'd love to see you edit night urban shots. :)

@digitalgopher Hi Amit! Thanks! Yeah I used High Pass filter ALL the time but changed my sharpening methods because John (Mueller) showed my how to use the unsharp mask.
