George Strait Live at Cowboys Stadium - If it Wasn't for Texas

The first event held at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX June 2009 - George Strait, "Isn't this roof supposed to open?" George asked of Jerry. The Fans yelled with George, "Jerry, open the roof!" Over 60,000 fans chanted until the roof began to peel back for the first time while George Strait sang If it wasn't for Texas. George also performed The Fireman, Troubadour and many others. Opening for George Strait were Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire.
As the comments show, the feeling of this came about you as you entered this beautiful new Cowboys Stadium filled with George Strait fans. It was an absolutely breath taking, one of a kind experience. What an experience. One I'll never forget. Spectacular event!!

I was there (: It was amazing. King George is the love of my life. I was screaming and crying when he came out and fell to the floor, no joke. I could hardly breathe. I agree with your comment. What really gets me is unless you were there, nobody will ever have the same opportunity. It was an event I will never forget.

I completely agree.  I drove 5 hours to be there. It was the then 5th time I'd seen him. I've seen him twice since then and I think that one might be untouchable as far as the best ever. The atmosphere in that stadium was absolutely one-of-a-kind. So glad I was there!
