  • I am building a similar rig, what frequencies would you recommend for controlling the heli and camera and for the downlink? I am thinking 2.4 - heli, 35mhz - camera, 5.8- downlink. Any advice?

  • @GeneSokolov I use 2.4 on Helicopter and Camera mount. Figured it was like two airplanes up there as long as few feet apart no problem. Now downlink was not an option to use 2.4 as it's a txt not receiver, so went with 900mhz for range. Good Luck

  • Few Specs:

    Motor - NEU 1912/1y (H)

    ESC - Castle Creations HV85

    Main Servos - 3x Futaba 9451 digital

    Gyro - Futaba GY401

    Gyro Servo - Futaba 9252

  • Thanks for posting -- nice tour. Any AP examples?

  • @roybob2000

It's a new setup, if you check out "Dusty Trails Raceway" video I used one taken by this rig in the opening shot. Also a few of a construction site on this thread number at rcgroups dot com: 1263993

  • @Siege22 Cool, thanks. I've already got two 2.4 radios, I might just use them then, that should save me a few $.

  • great ship, Im building the same setup with an ESP and 12S. What Neu motor are you using? I was hoping to find the equivalent to the Scorpion 4025-550kv.
