Learn the Locrian Mode!
The Locrian mode is a musical mode or diatonic scale. It may be considered a minor scale with the second and fifth scale degrees lowered a semi-tone. The Locrian mode may also be considered as a scale beginning on the seventh scale degree of any Ionian, or major scale. Thanks wikipedia!!

  • Does he need to explain where the guitar originated, how western music came to be, or what your music should be about? Learn the notes, play your fucking guitar.

  • nice sound, like your playing in the bathroom while taking a crap

  • a modal pattern is nice to know, but absolutely of no use if you dont know how to apply it. if you play C major over Bm5b, it's still going to sound like C major if you dont focus on the modal notes.

dont take this as an offense, i just wanted to point this out to people who are new to modes. find out what note makes the mode sound the way it does and try focusing and bringing out that note in your playing, otherwise it's still going to sound like a major scale starting on a different note

  • alright question. i have soem paper i use for pratice. it says locrian-7th. everything u played was the same untill u got to the second string. its a 2, 4, 6 pattern on that and the 1st string. idk whats right now someone help

  • You should be happy that he is explaining these things.

I say thanks for teaching me!

  • Lose the reverb, lose all the distortion, and gain some pick control! You are fingering the notes before you pick, gotta get better with that timing. :) After you get all your technique solid then add the effects. They hide mistakes too much and you will use it as a crutch.

  • you're lessons r very helpful,i didnt know any scale until i watched you're vids

  • @DaNorthernLight u mad lol

  • @DaNorthernLight The major scale is the Ionian Mode
