We got a posi rearend out of a 1994 cop car. It will fit and also give you disc brakes.

i had a 700r4 in one of my others they said i would of had to do some adjusting to the carburator im not sure about how much power the 350 engine is putting out how would i figure that out? What would i have to do to get the transmission figured for top speed?? i was thinking of taking the rear end off from a silverado or a 94 caprice LT1 what do you think?

I am not sure what your configurations of the 350 is but if you did the work to the engine then you can figure out the horsepower by just knowing the specs or the cam, pistons, carburation, etc. Their are some tools out there to help. If it is stock then you can look up a spec sheet on that. I agree with the idea of getting a silverado or the other caprice. They are made for power.

I have a 350 vortec engine in my85 caprice sedan it also has a 350 tranny do u think the tranny will be pretty decent if i wanted some good speed i also want 2 repalce my stock rear end with posi traction do u have any suggestions on what would fit??

What is the power of your 350? If you are putting out about 300 or less, then the 350 tranny will work. You can have your tranny configured for top speed by a transmission shop. I currently have a 350 turbo with a shift kit in mine. I am putting in a 700R4 in mine because it is made for the higher horsepower and heavier car. We are also putting in a 9inch Ford rear end. We are going to have ours cut down to fit underneath. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
