In the tradition of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, PSYCHO and DELIVERANCE comes this chilling Belgian horror that pushes the limits of shock filmmaking. When Marc Steven's car breaks down in the middle of Nowhere, Belgium, he's forced to seek refuge in a rural inn. Marc is taken in by Bartel, a lonely and psychologically fragile innkeeper who promises to help. But when Marc catches him dismantling his car, he realizes that the innkeeper has other plans for him -- sadistic plans that will push him to the bounds of human pain and suffering.

@azulon435 martyrs is a very good movie, but a serbian film is a very bad movie ... both seem to go about sadism, but in fact martyrs is all about opening doors through pain, while a serbian film is just about poor, stupid, sadistic behaviour ... it's very easy to make a film like a serbian movie .. just show the worst graffical content and show how low you can go in humanity ... no big deal .... on the contrary ... martyrs is indeed a masterpiece ... with very strong content ...

@8229298 have you watched the movie? just saw it and really, its a walk in the park, if you wonna see something a little more intense try; martyrs(2008) or Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom NOW youre talking ;)
martyrs for the faster action, and salo for just plain weird shit...centipede is also an easy watch btw,,,:P
