This was a very helpful tutorial. It's a long process if you're doing a long video, but well worth it. It's a good technique to use especially if you plan on using the toonit plugin from redgiant because the hdrv really brings out the details. Thanks for this awesome tutorial!

most cameras let you filter this through camera settings, my panasonic lumix fz100 has a high dynamic art mode, and everything is the way my eye sees it but has that dreamy effect for hdr video awesome, but this is by far the real deal, nice and thank you for this tutorial i have a canon t3 and this will be lots of use ;)

ok, i did everything and it works gre8 but i had one issue, The HDR Footage Is Shorter Than tHe Original Footage After Importing The HDR Image Sequence Back Into After Effects

@Izybeats Check your framerate in the Comp settings and the RAM preview settings, it has to be the same as your original footage. NTSC is 30, PAL is 25.
