@MrBigbadbruno Thanks for your comment. Yes, I think they are two of Bowen's finest. I also like his museum pose Wolverine and original Daredevil statues.

Nice peice, too bad about the paint. The dark areas are too dark, way too much contrast with the lighter overall blue of the sculpt. Would have been better if the darker areas were blended with the lighter blue so as to have a gradual darkening. Still its a nice peice.

@Matasak01 Yeah, I know what you mean.. I think the dark areas accentuate the musculature though, kind of like a stylized comic book effect. It seems to work well in normal display, but the bright overhead shot didn't come out too well.

@tubernery if it was the look you were looking for then fair enough. I think if the dark likes were a little thinner it would be a better look. Ive also tried this approach with my own sculpts, however, rather than painting the dark over the light colour, i start with a white primer, then paint the areas that i want to be dark (muscle creases etc) with black. So when i paint the sculpt with the lighter colours it results in the areas painted with black appearing darker.
