I watched the 2011 programme of music only on TV today. I have never taken much time out to listen to folk music before, i always felt it was rubbish and not worth listening to but I loved nearly every song today. The British stuff I loved and the sea shanties.

It is quite wonderful & very well deserved that Cara Dillon & Sam Lakeman got BBC Best Folk Album of the Year for their most excellent "Hill of Thieves" album.
